The troglodyte house
Ideally located in the heart of the Algarve, 25 minutes from Faro airport and close to the fishing villages of Olhão and Tavira, La Caroube offers you a unique experience in an unusual house.
La Caroube has been fitted out to our taste while keeping the original spirit of the designer of the « troglodyte house ». Some of the furniture is original, such as the large mosaic coffee table in the lounge.
Like the rest of the house, nothing is straight: everything is a story of curves and authentic imperfections.

The Lounge
80 m² in two areas: a sociable corner around the fireplace and the mosaic table, and a quieter one with its sofa and armchairs.
You will find the spirit of the house here — bare rock, the imposing staircase, Gaudi-like openings.

The Kitchen
A room of curves, opening onto the lounge and the dome room, fully equipped with masonry units.

The Bedrooms
Four bedrooms have private access from the outside. Each has its own character, its own bathroom and its share of bare rock.
La Familia
35 m² in three spaces, a masonry bed and a small outdoor courtyard for quiet moments.
La Mosaïque
The first owner's unusual decoration, kept as it was, with independent access from the back.
Le Bain
Its large tadelakt bathtub set on the rock, and its walk-in shower.
Le Jardin
In the heart of the garden, direct access to the pool and a calçada terrace.

3,150 m² of land around the house: the pool and its white sundeck in the heart of the garden, two terraces and a roof terrace.
The garden unfolds its three carob trees, its citrus and olive trees and its cacti — and, along the way, a bowling green.
Staying
Book La Caroube
The house is let whole, by the week, from Saturday to Saturday. Write to us and we will confirm the available dates within a few days.
From €3,800 to €5,500 per week depending on the season — weekly cleaning, linen and towels, pizza-oven wood and internet access included.
